On Wednesday October 1st join us for an Irish Sign Language (ISL) Interpreted talk by Frank Prendergast, Emeritus Research Fellow at TU Dublin at the Wood Quay Venue in Dublin 8.

Mountain building began in Ireland about half-a-billion years ago during the Palaeozoic Era. Then, collision and buckling between sections of the Earth’s crust forced up the many mountain ranges encountered throughout the coastal fringes of the island. This talk will begin at Fairy Castle in the Dublin Mountains and then journey to five other iconic landforms to explore how and why their allure, elevation and physical character have collectively drawn and engaged people to their slopes and summits over five millennia.

Date: Wednesday, the 1st of October from 18:30 - 19:30.

Public Transport: Plan your journey here on TFI’s Journey Planner.
