Saturday, 8th November: Sharing Nature with Children – a workshop for Parents and Guardians delivered by NPWS - Knocksink Wood

A workshop to help parents and guardians connect the children in their care with nature, biodiversity and the natural world. This workshop is for parents and guardians only, it is not for children.

Booking is via Eventbrite, see link.

Would you like to connect your children with the natural world but don’t know where to start? Forgotten the nature lessons of your schooldays? Want to know more about Ireland’s wildlife and landscape to pass on to the next generation? Join us and learn at NPWS’s Knocksink Wood this event was to be part of the Dublin Mountains Festival ~ Féile na Sléibhte but was postponed due to Storm Amy impacts.

This half-day workshop, led by NPWS Knocksink Education Guides, aims to help parents and guardians connect the children in their care with nature, biodiversity and the natural world. The workshop comprises classroom sessions, guided discussion and of course plenty of time in the woods! It all takes place in the beautiful autumnal surroundings of Knocksink Wood, as well as using the recently reopened Education Centre on site.

The workshop is free, but places are limited, and booking is essential. Please note that this event is for parents and guardians of children rather than the children themselves - we’ll do events for kids another day!
