Sunday 29th January
Bookings for this walk are closed.
Description: this is a follow up walk to our Introduction to Hillwalking session held on January 15th. This will be an easy paced walk aimed at beginners. The walk will be led by DMP Volunteer Rangers who will, along the route, share their knowledge of hill walking skills and equipment and, weather permitting, some basic map reading tips. The walk will start from Coillte’s Tibradden Wood and will follow the Dublin Mountains Way to Cruagh, diverting onto the Mountain access route and the new Dublin Mountains Makeover Native Woodland trail before returning to Tibradden. This is a moderate walk due to the climb and the route surfaces which are a mix of gravel forest roads, wooden board walk and gravel walking trails.
